The Honor Guard prepares to render honors.

  General Goodale was the key speaker.

    Some of the bricks that were dedicated.

WWII Reenactors and members of the Idaho Military History Museum fired a 3 volley salute on a 75mm pack howitzer.  In the background is the memorial errected by the 303rd Bomb Group..

    This tribute to MG Lafrenze is at the entrance of the Memorial Park.  The image next to it is a close up of the fountain.

November 2011 Raffle

  A Remington 870 shotgun was raffled as a fundraiser for the Gowen Field Memorial. Here, Command CWO-5 "Rudy" Wise, of the Gowen Field Memorial Park committee presents the shotgun to LTC David Hartley. LTC Hartley was randomly chosen amongst more than 100 people who donated to help with future projects at the Memorial Park. Remington donated the shotgun and donations were received from Military, Family and Civilian supporters of the Park.

The Honor Guard rendered honors and fired a volley in tribute.


A bench was dedicated to former Air National Guardsman Dennis Wallace.  Friends and family later released the baloons they were holding in tribute.

 

Ground Breaking Ceremony (23 May 2008)
